The State Games of America is an Olympic-style sports festival featuring athletes from across the nation. The events are being held in State College, PA from July 24 – August 2, 2026.

Karate was a late addition to the events, but PSKC was still able to get some representation in. Karate competition was held at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre on July 26th.
“This historic tournament marks the first-ever IWKA Direct Tournament in India, bringing the authentic spirit of Isshinryu Karate to the subcontinent.”
Held at the Montfort Indoor Stadium in Mylapore, Chennai, India.

Our summer class schedule at Penn State will begin on May 16th in HUB 232 from noon-2pm. This will run on Saturdays through August 22nd.

On Sunday the 14th, members of PSKC participated in the Japanese Student Association’s annual Matsuri Festival in Alumni Hall. Demonstrations included Karate & Kobudo forms, applications, board breaking, and an audience participation session introducing Fukyugata Ni.
